The Great Race

As we head towards the end of hour three there’s been some controversy; car 6 copped a drive through penalty for allegedly having the rear wheels spinning whilst on the air jacks. Apparently the rule is done so a team cannot gain advantage from this when dropped. Having said that, it’s also alleged by the team that no driver was in the car at the time, being a driver change….so what’s the issue here? Safety under the guise of “advantage”?

Steve Owen in the VIP Petfoods Falcon hit the wall at Griffins, after a brake change appears to have locked the rears. Good news is he’s ok, can’t say the same about the car…
